Herd/Heard

Herd/Heard was a joint exhibit in 2023. It was part of Interform Art’s biennial event Assembly in Springdale, Arkansas. The event was the first art and fashion biennial in Arkansas. This exhibit was curated by Amy Terry and is about finding identity through group dynamics like race/sexuality/religion/politics and more. Those associations can give encouragement, belonging, and purpose but sadly, can also bring division. We are pre-judged, and we judge too, lumping our friends, co-workers and family into caricatures and stereotypes based on what little is known about the collective with whom we/they spend time. Two of my art pieces was featured in this exhibition.
